Tea Shed
Enjoy fresh, seasonal food in the natural surroundings of Trewithen Gardens.
Our Tea Shed is found in a leafy opening close to the garden entrance. It’s a welcoming and peaceful spot, with indoor and outdoor seating and visiting wildlife.
Though we call it a “Shed”, it’s really a lot more: the café serves fresh, homemade food, including light lunches from 12 to 2.30pm and generous cream teas. Options usually feature wholesome favourites like soups, salads, and hearty quiches, as well as a good selection of cakes.
This year, with an earlier opening time of 9am on weekdays, the Tea Shed will be offering coffee and pastries, so you can meet friends for breakfast and an early walk.
While you’re here, you can also browse our hand-picked selection of Cornish gifts and produce, supporting local artisans and small businesses.

Opening times and parking
We are open seven days a week from 1st March to 30th September. We are open from 9am - 4pm Monday - Friday, and 10am - 4pm at weekends (and bank holidays).
Free parking is available in the main car park for Trewithen Gardens, and well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome. You don’t need a garden ticket to visit the Tea Shed.
