Cornus kousa var.chinensis is one of those plants that stop you in your tracks. 

The white "bracts" that surround the flower make the shrub have an almost weeping form when in flower. The bracts open creamy yellow and fade through pink to a light green with the flower in the centre developing into a "Strawberry like" fruit in late summer. 

Add in autumn colour on the foliage and you have a true "must have plant"
