Plant of the Month, August. Hedychium yunnanense (seedling)

Hedychium yunnanese, common name "Ginger Lily", these plants are seedlings from our original H.yunnanense which I got for Crug Farm Plants in Wales under the collection number of BWJ7900. They give us good "late season" colour with a sweet delicate scent that fills the garden especially in the mornings. We mulch in late autumn/early winter to help protect them during the winter. Lift and divide the clumps to enlarge the clumps.
