Rehderodendron macrocarpum translates to:

Rehder=Alfred Rehder a botanist who worked at the Arnold Arboretum 

Dendron= Greek word for tree  

Macro=large 

carpum=seed 

so therefore "Tree with Large seed" This is a good example of a plant name being very descriptive and why, in Horticulture, we try and stick with the scientific names. Common names can be confusing and even misleading plus they vary from county to county let alone country to country.
